De-formance

De-formance

De-formance, is a collaboration for Dutch Design Week, with choreographer Heidi Vierthaler, textile designer Jessica Smarsch, film maker Fleur Boonman and dance artists Shay Partush and Luca Cacitti

The unique language of Streamflow Method combined with a software driven by movement sensors, created live patterns on the screen.

The textile design and shape of the garment were determined by the choreography.

The initial choreography continuously morphed and

shifted depending on the restraints of each new architectural space.

It explores one’s inner and outer body, section by section, leading to a more multidimensional body,

and a higher level of overall awareness and sensitivity.

Heidi collaborates with film makers, designers and unique performance locations that brings together a broader audience.
