Dance
Heidi Vierthaler began her professional dance career with the Pacific NW Ballet in Seattle, from 1986 to 1990, and with Ballet Chicago from 1990 to 1994. In 1995 she began teaching, and danced one season with Spectrum Dance Theater. In 1996 she embarked on her European dance career, which led to work with the most prominent dance choreographers of our time, including Jiri Kilian, Ohad Naharin, and a 4 year collaboration with William Forsythe until 2006.

Teaching
Heidi has been teaching dance and movement research intensively since 2007, and currently teaches for SNDO, and MDT, at The Hooge School voor de Kunsten in Amsterdam, as well as for The Rotterdam Dance Academy in Rotterdam. Heidi also teaches for Dans Ateliers in Rotterdam and Korzo Theater in Den Haag. Since 2009 she is a regular guest teacher for Architanz Studios in Tokyo Japan.

Choreography
In January 2009, Heidi received rave reviews for her first choreographic work "Surfacing", for The Seattle Dance Project.
